The council facilitates coordination of state services for victims of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. -

The board oversees the conservation, preservation and development of water resources in the Red River basin. -

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has named Michael Ford of Amarillo chair and John White of Plano vice chair of the Texas Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission for terms to expire Nov. 25, 2014. The governor also appointed six members to the commission, which was created pursuant to Senate Bill 1206 in the 73rd Legislature to provide for the management and disposal of low level radioactive waste, while maintaining the priority of the health, safety and welfare of citizens. -
