Physician Assistant Board Rules Changes Proposed

The following is a summary of proposed rule changes that were presented to the Texas Physician Assistant Board, on December 9, 2011 and that were published January 13, 2012 in the Texas Register for a 30-day comment period. These proposed rules will be presented to the Texas Physician Assistant Board on March 9, 2012. There will be an opportunity for public comment. Location: William P. Hobby Building, 333 Guadalupe Street, Tower 2, Suite 225, Austin, Texas, 78701. There will be a signup sheet for those wishing to speak and seating is available. Chapter 185. PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

22 TAC §185.4

The Texas Medical Board (Board) proposes an amendment to §185.4, concerning Procedural Rules for Licensure Applicants.

The amendment provides grounds for the extension of licensure applications that have been on file with the Board for over one year and allow for an alternative licensure process for military spouses.
