On January 30, 2024, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily restricted, with notice, the Texas medical license of Jeffrey Norman Colvin, M.D., (Lic. No. H2313) after determining his continuation in the unrestricted practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The restriction was effective immediately.
Dr. Colvin’s license is restricted under the following terms: shall not see, examine, treat, prescribe to, provide consultation for, or otherwise practice medicine on female patients, including telemedicine.
The Board panel found that on or around November 18, 2023, Dr. Colvin was arrested in Lubbock County on the charge of Indecent Assault, a Class A misdemeanor. Dr. Colvin has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for jury trial on June 24, 2024.
The temporary restriction remains in place until the Board takes further action.
