On October 24 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Ameer Elsayed Hassan, D.O. (Lic. No. P2455), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Dr. Hassan was indicted and charged by a grand jury with second degree manslaughter under Texas Penal Code Section 19.04, which was confirmed on October 17, 2023, by the District Clerk of Cameron County.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Dr. Hassan, unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Hassan.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
