On June 20, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Jason Robert Thonhoff, M.D. (Lic. No. Q5729), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that on May 1, 2025, the Harris County Constable's Office executed an arrest warrant for Dr. Thonhoff for Online Solicitation of a Minor, a third-degree felony under Texas Penal Code section 33.021.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Dr. Thonhoff, unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Thonhoff.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
