On April 10, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Gregory Scott Roth, M.D. (Lic. No. K1916), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that on or about March 28, 2023, the Board first learned that Dr. Roth was arrested by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department on November 30, 2022, following an investigation by the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) - Law Enforcement Division. Dr. Roth was arrested and is awaiting indictment on the criminal charge of Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Dr. Roth, unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Roth.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
