Licensee Online Profile

In addition to verification information, physician licensee records or “profiles,” contain consumer-oriented professional background information. Physician profiles include license status, educational background, disciplinary actions, as well as information self-reported by the licensee but not verified by the TMB (e.g. primary practice address, hospital privileges, delegation information, etc.) All verifications also include a description of any action taken by the Board against a licensee.

FAQs

You may be entering too much information in your search. Try entering in only the last name and first initial, or only the last name and the city where they practice. If you still have issues, please contact us at (512) 305-7010 for a verbal verification.

Yes. Select a license type of “Physician” and a list of specialties will appear for you to choose from. You can also narrow your search by entering in the city you would prefer.

The registration status “Suspended, Active” is a suspended status. A license in this status is not an active license to practice medicine in Texas. However, a licensee with this status has maintained their registration requirements while the license is suspended and, should that suspension be lifted, the license can return to an active status without additional registration requirements.

To learn if your physician has been sued, contact the court clerk in the county where your physician practices. Physicians are required to provide a description of any medical malpractice jury awards to the TMB for publication on the physician profile.

In addition to medical education, a doctor of osteopathy also studies the alignment of the spine and osteopathic manipulation. Osteopathic manipulation is the movement of the bones and joints.
