All licensure applicants and licensees must have a MyTMB account to access the Jurisprudence Exam and study guide (if applicable). Some license types will also be able to view the required lacking items for their application and upload documents. 

 

All license, permit, and certificate holders continue to use their MyTMB account to manage their license, permit, or certificate which includes maintaining their contact information, printing copies of their electronic permits, and/or requesting license verifications.


If you have ever had a MyTMB account, access the system with your previous username and password. If you cannot remember your username and/or password, select the `Forgot Username or Password' link on the login screen and follow the directions.

 

Pending applicants can create a MyTMB account using the MyTMB button at the top of the page. 

 

After completing the security check, select 'Create an Account'. Enter your assigned TMB ID number (provided after you have filed your online application) or registered license number and verify the last 4 digits of your social security number and date of birth. You will need to enter and confirm the email address you provided with your online application, which will be your username.

 

After you create your account, you will be required to create a password and establish security questions. Please be aware that your account contains confidential information, and should you disclose your username and password to other parties, those parties will have access to that confidential information.

There are several systems and functions that applicants and licensees can complete with MyTMB.  System icons that display in MyTMB are based on the individual's status of the application in process or license registration status.

Applicants and most registered license types have the ability to update mailing and practice addresses online.

Please note, the MyTMB system does not have the ability to reflect more than one practice address at this time. 

MyTMB profile updates are currently limited to criminal charges and convictions, disciplinary actions by other states, and medical malpractice Jury awards.  Keep checking your account, as we will be expanding these profile update options as they come available. 

 

Licensee profile changes/corrections/updates not submitted through MyTMB must be submitted in writing, with the signature of the licensee.

Physicians, APNs and Physician Assistants can use the Online Supervision and Prescriptive Delegation Registration System to register prescriptive authority AND to file the notice of intent to practice/supervise as required of PAs and physicians. Hard copy supervision and delegation forms are no longer accepted (except as required).

The Texas Medical Board uses electronic permits for a more paperless experience and print on demand for licensees. Once your registration/renewal is complete, please allow 2 business days for processing. After that time, you will be able to log into your MyTMB account and view, save or print a copy of your active license.

The combined JP exam and study guide are available for applicants with active, pending applications to take online through their MyTMB account who are required to take the exam, and Physician licenses issued through the IMLC that are required to take the exam to register their license. Refer to Jurisprudence Exam for more information on accessing the exam and study materials. 

The TMB has introduced a new “Online Electronic Verification System” that will allow selected licensees to use their MyTMB account to request an automatic pdf verification of their license, permit or certification be emailed to the address of their choice.  The pdf verification includes: licensee's name, license, permit or certificate number, issue date, expiration date, disciplinary status, and an electronic version of our board seal will be affixed.  The system will create and email the pdf verification automatically once the request is submitted.

 

  • To access this system log into your MyTMB account, select the “License Verification” icon and follow the directions.

 

  • At this time the “Online Electronic Verification System” to request a verification is available to the license types listed below.  If your license type is not listed, please submit the hard copy Verification Request Form.  As the new electronic request option becomes available to more license types, they will be added to the list provided below.

 

  • License types currently able to access the “Online Electronic Verification System”:
    • Radiologist Assistant
    • General Medical Radiologic Technologist
    • Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist
    • Non-Certified Radiologic Technician Registry
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner
    • Medical Physicist

  • At this time Continuing Education is not tracked or stored in the My TMB system. Information on the current CME tracking options through CE Broker is available Continuing Education Tracking

 

  • If you are trying to contact Licensure for an active physician application, Texas has a two-stage application process – Pre-Licensure/Screening and Licensing. Both stages use the License Inquiry System of Texas (LIST) which is an online communication system for messages to and from the Board and physician applicants regarding application requirements.

  • If you are trying to complete your license registration/renewal, select Apply & Renew at the top of the page. Choose the link for your license type. Under the Renew button you will find a link to the online renewal system.

Click on the 'Forgot Username’ or ‘Forgot Password’ link and provide the information in the required fields. If you cannot remember either, you must start with the username, as the username is required in order to obtain the ‘reset password’ option.

 

If your username is unknown, after selecting 'Forgot Username' and validating the required fields, the username will be sent to your registered email address and registered mobile phone with the Board.

 

If your password is unknown or doesn’t work, enter your Username and click on the "Forgot Password " link. 

 

You’ll then be prompted to answer 1 of your 3 Security Questions.

 

After answering correctly, you’ll be giving 3 options to Reset the Password:

  • Temporary password sent to cellphone or
  • Temporary password to email or
  • Reset by enter License or ID#, last 4 of SSN, DOB (enter slashes example: MM/DD/YYYY)

 

You’ll then be prompted to reset the password and have access to the account.

You do not need to have access to the email to login.  Once in the account you may change it.  

If your password is unknown or doesn’t work, enter your Username and click on the "Forgot Password " link.

For security reasons, some regions are restricted or blocked access to TMB systems. In order to assess if access can be granted, please email Screen-CIC@tmb.texas.gov with your Board issued ID number and country location. Additional information may be requested.

Yes, you need a MyTMB account to download a copy of your PIT permit. You must have a valid email address and SSN provided in your application. PIT permits that have expired or have been terminated cannot be printed using the electronic permit system.

After logging into My TMB, click on the Accounts link to be directed to your contact information registered with the board. You can update all of your contact information through this screen.
