On November 25, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Gabriel Moses Perez, M.D. (Lic. No. M8247), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

The Board panel found that on November 21, 2025, Dr. Perez was arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first-degree felony.

At its October 17, 2025, meeting, the Texas Medical Board disciplined 21 licensed physicians.

The disciplinary actions included: seven orders related to standard of care, four voluntary surrenders, four orders related to peer review or other states’ actions, two orders related to unprofessional conduct, two revocations, one order related to impairment, and one Final Order.

On November 13, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas surgical assistant license of Marvin M. Walker, Jr., SA (Lic. No. SA00690), after determining his continuation in practice poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

The Board panel found that Mr. Walker habitually used drugs or intoxicating liquors to the extent that, in the medical board's opinion, he cannot safely perform as a surgical assistant.

On November 13, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas surgical assistant license of Jason Phillip Jimenez, SA (Lic. No. SA00556), after determining his continuation in practice poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

The Board panel found that on October 1, 2025, Mr. Jimenez was charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first-degree felony.

On November 7, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas noncertified radiologic technologist certificate of Christian Bustos, NCR (Lic. No. NCR02003417), after determining his continuation in practice as a medical radiologic technologist would constitute a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

The Board panel found that on or about September 10, 2025, Mr. Bustos was arrested Walters, Oklahoma for the offense of child sexual abuse, a felony offense.

On October 24, 2025, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily restricted, with notice, the Texas medical license of Christine Itata, M.D. (Lic. No. R8382), after determining her continuation in the unrestricted practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The restriction was effective immediately.
