Latana T. Jackson, RCP

Latana T. Jackson, RCP, of Cedar Hill, is director of Cardiopulmonary, EEG and Non-Invasive Cardiology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Irving. She volunteers with the Outreach Ministry at Antioch Baptist Church of Dallas and is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and the Texas Society of Respiratory Care. Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts in respiratory care from Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

 

TMB Suspends Houston PIT (Haden)

On April 5, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas physician-in-training permit of Marshall L. Haden, M.D. (Lic. No. BP10078006), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

Kandace D. Pool

Kandace D. “Kandi” Pool, of San Angelo, is the executive vice president of the San Angelo Association of Realtors. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Texas Association of Realtors and is a member and church secretary for College Hills Baptist Church. She is former president of the San Angelo Symphony Chorale and former director of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, and served as director and board secretary for the Women’s Job Corp and is past president of the Western Little League and district board member of the State of Texas Little League.

Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology Suspends Hamilton MRT (Marwitz)

On March 23, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, with notice, the Texas medical radiologic technologist certificate of Bonnie Jo Marwitz, MRT (Lic. No. GMR02002938), after determining her continuation in the practice of medical radiologic technology poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

Hammad Nasir Qureshi, M.D.

Hammad Nasir Qureshi, M.D., of Tomball, is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician with Millennium Physicians, LLC. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Qureshi received a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from King Edward Medical College. He completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine – Houston.

 

Sam G. Marshall, PhD, RCP

Sam Gregory “Gregg” Marshall, Ph.D., RCP, of Round Rock, is the Presiding Officer of the Texas Board of Respiratory Care. Marshall is chair of the Department of Respiratory Care at Texas State University. He is former vice-president of the Texas Society of Sleep Professionals and a board member of the Coalition for Baccalaureate and Graduate Respiratory Therapy Education. He is also a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, Texas Society of Respiratory Care, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Association of Sleep Technologists.

Shaila D. Parker

Shaila D. Parker, of Dallas, is a professional organizer and the owner of LH Executive Services. She is a member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the American Society of Professional Organizers. She also serves as the librarian at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Parker received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas – Denton.

Scott Morren, MRT, of Anton, is the lead MRI technologist at Covenant Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the South Plains Society of Radiological Technologists, Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists and American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Morren received an Associate of Applied Science in radiologic technology from South Plains College.

 

TMB Suspends San Antonio Physician (Fiallo)

On March 14, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Francisco Julian Fiallo, M.D. (Lic. No. R0393), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

The Board panel found that based on the evidence, Dr. Fiallo suffers from an impairment and is not in compliance with his previous Board orders.  

 

Melanie “Shannon” Lutz, MRT

Melanie "Shannon" Lutz, MRT, of Cypress, is a quality director and radiology technologist at Memorial Hermann Health System. She is a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Lutz received an Associate of Applied Science in radiologic technology from Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in radiologic technology from Sam Houston State University.
