The mission of the Texas Medical Board is to protect and enhance the public’s health, safety and welfare by establishing and maintaining standards of excellence used in regulating the practice of medicine and ensuring quality health care for the citizens of Texas through licensure, discipline, and education.
The Texas Medical Board oversees the licensing and enforcement of various healthcare professionals and entities. The agency's staff supports five boards and two advisory committees:

- MRT, TMRT, LMRT, TLMRT, RCP, TRCP, Perfusionist, and Medical Physicists applicants: Email questions to the Licensure Department.
- Physician Assistant, Physician-in-Training, and all other applicants: Email questions to the Licensure Department.
- Registration Services: (i.e. renewal, license verification, MyTMB access, CME audit, or prescriptive delegation) include your name and license number and email the Registrations Department.
