Continuing Education Links

License and certificate holders have continuing education (CE) hours that must be obtained to meet their respective occupation’s active licensure requirements.

For details on specific continuing education requirements by license/certification type, visit the following Licensee Resources page - http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/page/resources-continuing-ed-requirements

While TMB is not typically a provider of continuing education, in an effort to enhance provider education, it firmly believes that education is key to enhancement of patient care.  In carrying out this important mission TMB is providing information on CE providers.

Where can continuing education opportunities be found?

Many activities are offered by the health occupation’s state and national professional associations, medical schools, hospitals, medical journals, as well as through online providers.

Continuing Education Topics in TMB Bulletins

As part of its 2016-2017 review, the Sunset Advisory Commission adopted a nonstatutory management action directing TMB to dedicate one page of its quarterly bulletin to three topics in continuing medical education that the Board considers relevant; at least one of the annual 12 continuing medical education topics must be related to tick-borne diseases, including Lyme disease.
